Storelookout spots a Shopify-powered storefront while you're on it. One click adds it — no product URLs to paste, no feed to configure.

It reads their whole catalogue on a schedule
The first check builds a baseline. After that it re-reads the public catalogue in the background — daily on Free, hourly on Pro — one store at a time, politely.

You get the difference, not the data
Every check is compared to the last one. You see the handful of things that actually changed, grouped by day, with a count on the toolbar icon.

List prices as published by each tool, divided by the number of stores their entry plan includes. Comparable tools do more than Storelookout in places — repricing, product matching across different shops — and cost accordingly.

The things merchants ask first.
Which stores can it track?
Shopify-powered storefronts that publish a public catalogue — the large majority of shops running a standard Shopify theme. Some big brands run headless setups or sit behind a bot filter; those show as “Catalogue not available” rather than pretending to work.
Do I need an account?
Not for the free plan. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to verify. If you upgrade, ExtensionPay asks for an email so your licence follows you to another computer.
Is this scraping? Is it allowed?
It reads the same public catalogue file a shopper's browser can load, from your own browser, one request per second, and backs off when a store asks it to. It never touches anything private, and it only ever fetches stores you added yourself.
How often does it check?
Daily on the free plan; every six hours or hourly on Pro. Checks run in the background while Chrome is open — if your laptop is shut, the next check happens when you open it again.
Will it slow my browser down?
No. Checks run in the extension's background worker, one store at a time with a pause between pages. You will not notice it running.
Can I get the data out?
Pro exports your whole change history to CSV — one row per changed variant, with dates, old and new prices, and the store.
